In this episode of “Grocery Shopping with Pro Bodybuilders”, we tag along with ALLMAX athlete, Steve Kuclo, as he hits up Costco.
Follow along as Steve shops for his weekly essentials, while describing what he’s buying and why.
Some of these tips and tricks might be exactly what you need to execute better on your own diet.
Steve usually makes it out to Costco at least 1-2 times per week.
The first thing he picks up is some salmon. Typically he eats 1 salmon meal per day which contains about 8oz of cooked salmon.
He also really likes red meat. The older he gets, the more he worries about his digestion and maintaining his GI health. So, he has brought down his protein consumption at each meal a bit.
Even though red meat tends to be a little bit heavy, he’ll schedule his red meat meals for a little later in the day so he can consume it. Anecdotally, Steve also finds that red meat consumption helps him fill out a bit more while he’s carbing up for a show.
For vegetables, he snags some celery, kale, and mushrooms. He also grabs some avocado as a healthy fat source.
Lastly, for an additional protein source, he buys some egg whites.
