In this video, Nutrex athlete Gerardo Gabriel takes us through the drive-thru at two popular fast food chains to show us what you can order that will help you stay on track with your fitness goals.
Most assume that it’s impossible to find something healthier on a fast food menu.
However, as Gerardo shows us, there are always better options that you can opt for when eating on the go.
Some restaurants even provide their full nutritional facts now to help their consumers make better choices that align with their dietary needs.
The examples Gerardo provides for us in this video include options at Boston Market and Chick-fil-a.
The first stop on Gerardo’s Clean Fast Food trip is at Boston Market. For his cleaner option, he orders a rotisserie turkey breast market bowl with a double portion of turkey.
The signature bowl comes with onions, green beans, mashed potatoes, and gravy – which he chooses to order on the side. When he receives his order at the window, the clerk also provides a menu with all of the calorie counts listed on it for whenever Gerardo needs to swing through a Boston Market drive thru again.
The meal itself is a good portion size with the taste of Thanksgiving dinner – a perfect meal for when you’re in need of something quick.
Boston Market Macros – 760 calories, 51g of protein, 67g of carbs, and 30g of fat.
Next up, Gerardo swings through the Chick-fil-a drive-thru to see what kind of meal he can get that will meet his macro and caloric needs.
His meal option ends up being the grilled chicken cool wrap combo with a side of fruit and a small original iced coffee.
The wrap has several different veggies wrapped inside of it and the fruit is a mixed cup that helps pack plenty of micronutrients into this meal choice.
The coffee order has just the right amount of caffeine to provide Gerardo with an extra kick during the day.
All in all, this meal is a great choice for clean energy when pressed to grab something out and about.
