In high school I was involved with football and baseball, but was never big enough nor athletic enough to get much playing time. It wasn't until I learned about proper weight training and nutrition that my body and athletic performance started to change.
I have spent the last 10 years in love with the gym and proper nutrition. My mother likes to refer to me as a gym nut.
When I am not writing articles, I spend my time training for CrossFit anbd my first Tough Mudder.
- Favorite protein powder: MGN Pure Whey Isolate.
- Long term goal: Add 10 more pounds of muscle.

I only have dumbells and I want to do the boxing/mma workout with 2 weight lifting days. What could I do in place of the machine and barbell excersises?
Thomas:
I will be starting your Intermediate Boxing/MMA program, which BTW I think looks great.
You mention a 12 week beginner program, what is it or where can I find it?
I set up a basement gym with heavy bag, BOB, 200lbs. free weights and about 300lbs totalof resistance cables which should be plenty of equipment to get me in great shape and maintain my MA skills via your programs.
Thanks for your response!
What's a couple of great bodybuilding/ strength routines to complement this hill workout also can I do light running or swimming on days in between the hills?
just read your article on the protein shakes at home, tried the smoothie one (greek yogurt, fruit, and powder) and it was sooo good!
Also wanted to thank you for not being such a bro scientist in that article! Most articles I read on this site or any other bbing site create a fear of fats.
