Training and lifting weights is in my blood. Growing up in rural eastern Ohio, I watched every day as my Dad came home from his shift at the local steel mill and headed out to our detached unheated garage to pump iron and hit the heavy bag. In the summertime he would teach football players from the local high school how to lift weights in our gym. Needless to say, I couldn’t wait until I was old enough to get started. I remember him showing me the ropes at age 12 and I was instantly hooked.
I started training clients in 2000 while still finishing my undergrad degree at Ohio State, and I opened my first gym in 2003. Today my gym and training style is patterned after that same blue collar work ethic that I learned in Dad’s garage. Often times people get too caught up in rep schemes, exercise fads, etc. when the real keys are consistency, intensity and toughness.

Hi Coach Dustin Myers,
I used to workout about 10 years ago and didn't follow up. Now I want to get back into it. Which program do you recommend starting out 1st because it has been like 10 years that I haven't hit the gym?
Thanks,

Check out his new company, maxeffortmuscle. They have a really good fat burner. Try using that in the morning with fasted cardio. Fast for at least 14 hours. So, if you east your last food at 9:00pm, don't eat again until 11:00am the next day. Fasted cardio in the mornings. Hope that helps.
