HOW MUCH PROTEIN DO I NEED A DAY?

The Recommended Dietary Allowance for protein is 0.36 grams per pound of body weight a day for adults. This is a minimum requirement. Hard-training athletes require more. A general recommendation is to consume a gram of protein per pound of body weight a day. This requirement can go up to 1.2-1.5g per pound of body weight for athletes following a calorie-restricted diet.*
